How does Document Verification work?

Customer is sent a secure link to their mobile device. Using the Document Verification interface, the customer is prompted to take a selfie and photograph their ID.

Selfie is analyzed to ensure a real person is taking the photo; facial characteristics are mapped and compared with the image on the document.

Sophisticated algorithms assess the document for signs of tampering or forgery and check for consistency.

A confirmation is displayed to the customer and the result of the assessment is returned to you.

Document Verification includes both 3D face map and liveness checks as well as document authentication to help both protect against fraud and confirm identity. Basic 2D face-to-document matching can be more easily spoofed or bypassed, and face-to-face authentication may be prone to human error.
